Illustration Friday - "Celebrate"

For this week's Illustration Friday topic of "Celebrate" I went with a boxer "celebrating" a TKO!  This was the first image that came to mind.  I remember in art school some of my teachers saying "NEVER ever ever go with your first idea!".   But whatcha gonna do:)   It's a Illustrator/Photoshop collabo.   It took about 3 hours.

that's wierd...because my teachers usually say that the first idea is most often the best...I guess you got the example right in front of you..coz your illustration is quite lovely!

:D Don't listen to your art teachers. I usually find my first idea was the right one, because it was the one that relied on instinct, rather than all that troublesome rationalization. A good celebration, indeed. Well done!

Very nice!
I'd say this illustration pokes a very solid hole in the argument to avoid the first idea. Well done!
