Illustration Friday "Subtract"

For this week's Illustration Friday topic of "Subtract" I went way back to the days of dragons, knights and princesses. Sir Knight is "subtracting" the Red Dragon's tail. This might result in his own head being subtracted. This took about 6 hours and is a Illustration/Photoshop collaboration.

Cute! Great composition and love the limited color palette. Seems he needs to look up and see what is about to happen. Yikes!

I never considered dragons to be that proficient at math problems. Maybe the knight will get away.

Love your retro vibe work, really nice blog! Great colour and style. Have you read the Cartoon Modern book, a really fascinating read. The author also has a couple of blogs for the book as well. Pick up a copy or follow the link to the Cartoon Mod blogs from my blog ("interesting sites" list) if you are interested, think you would get lot from it!
